This is my first series, although the details have been rolling around in my head for years I have just now found the courage to take the first steps. Make a plan, stay the course, and every day take a step closer to my goals. That is the title of the first piece in this series, "First Steps". I took this reference photo coming into Okaloosa Island after a long day exploring the 30A area. It was a pitstop that required a double left turn- all the reasons not to pull over. This dune pulled me in. The little sign on the post said "keep out" and I couldn't help but wonder what beauty lay just beyond that warning.
If I had not gotten out of my comfort zone to go and explore I would have missed the simplicity, the lesson in the moment.
