Meet the Artist

Art has always been my way of slowing down long enough to truly see the world.

I'm Melissa Malcolm, a Gulf Coast artist based along the beautiful Emerald Coast of Florida. My paintings are inspired by the places I've explored, the landscapes that have left a lasting impression, and the quiet moments that remind us to pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most. Whether it's a coastal sunrise, a mountain trail, a hidden garden, or the wildlife encountered along the journey, every collection begins with a real place and a meaningful story.

As a lifelong creative, my work extends beyond the canvas. Alongside my fine art practice, I co-own Malcolm Printing Service, where I create hand-drawn architectural renderings and custom apparel collections for many of the Gulf Coast's premier resorts. From concept sketches to finished product lines, I love bringing ideas to life through thoughtful design and craftsmanship.

Throughout my career I've explored creativity in many forms—from live painting events with Anthropologie to designing products that blend art with everyday living. Each experience has shaped the artist I am today while reinforcing one simple belief: art should do more than decorate a space—it should create connection.

In recent years, my work has evolved toward creating collections with deeper meaning. I enjoy weaving together fine art, education, storytelling, and nature to create pieces that invite curiosity, conversation, and reflection.
